Ishita Akhter — Cricket Analyst, Writer & Health Advocate
tritha.net takes its name from ‘Tritha’, my nickname.
A PhD in Engineering, from The University of Melbourne. Cricket’s been part of my life since my childhood in the early-90s, and the engineering background is why I end up looking at it differently — not averages and strike rates, but what’s underneath: decision-making under pressure, team psychology, why a system holds together or doesn’t.
I also write fiction — a first novel in progress, plus short poems — and I do health advocacy work, mostly around pregnancy and postnatal care, which is personal as much as professional. Different subjects, same instinct: look past the visible result to what actually produced it. I’m Melbourne-based since 2011, and disabled since 2022, living with chronic illness. My health obstacles may set the pace of my work, but not its direction.
Start with the cricket analysis, the writing, or the health advocacy work — or read more about me.

Writing
Cricket Analysis
Franchise decisions, not just scorecards — why a system worked or didn’t. The Human Algorithm series, plus standalone franchise breakdowns.
Creative Writing
A first novel in progress, and short poems going up here as I finish them. Mostly about the things people don’t say to each other.
Health Advocacy
Maternity care research as a consumer representative — the gap between the evidence and what actually happens to people living it.
